Venue for Rehearsals and Performances is Albany Hills Christian Church Monday September 20th through Friday September 24th from 8:30 to 5:00pm.
Performances will be on Friday September 24th at 6pm and 8pm and Saturday September 25th at 2pm and 4pm. Tickets at the door. $9 child $15 adult and $30 family.

SCHOOL  TERM TRAINING PROGRAM

Brisbane Junior Theatre workshops run two afternoons a week. From Beginners to Advanced.

 

Thursday’s @ Centre Stage Theatre 25 Quarry St Spring Hill from 4pm-6:30. This is an advanced teen class, a closed rehearsal time … by audition only, not open to the general public except with permission. This term we are working on songs and improvisations from Godspell.

Friday's @ Albany Creek High School Theatre Drama Room D Block off Old Northern Rd from 3:30-5pm. This term we are working on songs concept and improvisations from theme "Beauty and the Beast". This class is open at any time to anyone 5-18 years of age. Just show up and begin.

 

Please note that these classes are not productions but workshops where Songs, Dance, Music and dialogue as well as improvisation and Theatre games are used to develop theatre skills to be used in major productions beyond the classes. Cost per class is $20 per student or $200 per 10 week term.

PRIVATE VOICE, PIANO & ACTING TUITION

Contemporary voice, Jazz/Classical piano and Acting lessons are available from Jack and Debbie Bradford through BJT.  Private acting lessons are available to prepare for NIDA, WAAPA auditions. Trinity exams are also available.  If you are interested and would like to know fees and times, please contact Jack and Deb on 3889 6436.

BJT Directors and Team

 

Jack Bradford: Artistic Director founded BJT in 2000. He really began the concept in 1996 at a friend’s kitchen table, mapping out the possibilities of developing performance and training for kids. Jack has a wealth of theatre experience with over 80 productions under his belt. Jack has directed all of the BJT productions to date. He lives with his family, Debbie, Zac, Jacob and Jesse in Strathpine Queensland where the whole family are constantly involved in artistic ventures and projects. Debbie Bradford: Graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2003 with Bachelor of Music, majoring in Jazz and Contemporary piano. Debbie has music directed and played in over 20 shows as well as having music directed at church. Debbie plays and sings for “Gracenotes” a local Jazz band and performs in duo with Zac who is currently at the Conservatorium focusing on voice and guitar.

 

George Canham has been dancing and acting since he was 3. He has studied both the RAD and ISTD syllabus to vocational level. He has performed in over 20 musical theatre productions and straight plays. George's love for performing in theatre is evidenced in his commitment to productions like Hello Dolly, Oklahoma, Die Fledermaus and West Side Story. George has been a vital part of Brisbane Junior Theatre and has studied many different dance styles with several dance instructors including Trevor Green.


 

 

Steve Williamson is BJT’s website manager and friend. Steve began in Mainframe & Mini Computers in 1971, designing and writing business programs. In 1984 Steve began writing financial software and data base systems on PCs, developing a client base of church and community businesses in Brisbane and beyond. In 2001, Steve helped BJT develop a web presence and he has been helping us ever since.
